Golden Rules of Subconscious Parenting

1. Role modeling
   1. Up to 6 parents are their heroes and their role models.
   2. Parents are the immediate environment for the kids
      1. family
      2. neighbors
      3. friend
   3. They do what you do and not what you say.
   4. You don't need to expose them to the negative realities of the world until 8 years.

2. Communication and listening
   1. Communication is - How much you listen to the child.
   2. Listening is a skill we have.
   3. When you listen better, you can learn better.
   4. How can you make your kid listen better.
      1. Listen to them.
      2. If they are not listening to you, ask if you listen to them.
      3. Whenever your child comes to you and if you are busy leave the job and listen to them. That is active listening.
         1. If you can't communicate to them that you can't listen to them now.
         2. eye to eye
      4. Set expectations with the kids.
3. Consistency
   1. When they look at consistency they feel it is natural.
   2. Maama is committed. I had promised X, so take this.
   3. Set family rules but needs to be set politely. Use proper tone.

Kids
