Great guy with whom I can relate. Had used Visual Website Optimiser long before it was popular. I think it was before 2011
Had gained a lot of insights for the customer which made us build better websites and services for them.
But more than anything i was impressed with being able to track user actions, do A/B testings etc. Back then I didn't know that he was Indian. Felt really proud of that fact that he is from India, when I got to know this.
The major unlock happened when I followed him in Twitter. This is the reason i ask people to follow their mentors on Twitter. He is one of the very few people for whom I have set notifications on for a duration greater than a year.
The reason i am more upbeat about him is the fact that he is in India, unlike other mentors of Indian origin I respect like Naval, Balaji Srinivasan Chamath Palihapitiya, Sahil etal
Things I agree with him on
- Moral code
- Learning and curiosity
- Mentality about startups
Things I don't agree with him on
- Bitcoin energy crisis.
- Bitcoin fixes energy is my standpoint.
- I need to Build my conviction around this. Then present a case to him
How can I help him
- He doesn't get enough time to spend on Crypto currency. I can help him out here.
- Help him stand in elections
- Not sure if he wants to.
How can he help me
- Just keep doing what he is doing. How tweets and blogs help me with clarity and frameworks.
- Be a hands on mentor to me
- Check if he is taking mentees.
- Help me with making India a Product First Nation
- I think I have what it takes to build a good product.
- But I have filled to scale and monetise Learning Paths.
- I have empathy for failed product/startup founders.
- So I can make maximum impact here.
