- Paddy (Rice)
- Jowar (Sorghum)
- Bajra (Pearl Millet)
- Ragi (Finger Millet)
- Maize
- Tur (Arhar)
- Moong
- Urad

Rabi Crops (6)

- Barley
- Gram (Chickpea)
- Masur (Lentil)
- Rapeseed & Mustard

Other Commercial Crops (2)

The MSP is announced for these crops before each sowing season to provide price assurance to farmers and encourage higher investment and production[1][2]. Additionally, the Fair and Remunerative Price (FRP) for sugarcane is also fixed separately, though it's not included in the 22 MSP crops[3].
The Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices (CACP) recommends the MSPs for these crops, considering various factors such as cost of production, overall demand-supply situations, domestic and international prices, inter-crop price parity, and the likely effect on the rest of the economy[1][4].
It's worth noting that while toria (a type of rapeseed) and de-husked coconut also have MSPs, they are fixed based on the MSPs of rapeseed & mustard and copra, respectively, rather than being separately mandated crops[1].
